TV Review: Self-Serious ‘The Cape’ Misses Attempt at New ‘Heroes’
Submitted by BrianTT on January 7, 2011 - 4:10pmCHICAGO – NBC never learns. After not just countless rip-offs but “Heroes” itself tanked, why would they try to go back to a clearly-drained well for another comic book TV series like “The Cape”?

Submitted by BrianTT on October 13, 2010 - 9:11pmCHICAGO – Superman and Batman return to follow-up on the success of September 2009’s “Superman/Batman: Public Enemies,” one of the most popular DC Universe Animated Movies, with this year’s “Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.” Where does the ninth film in the franchise fall compared to other DC Universe flicks and does it say anything about the future of this hit-and-miss series of releases?
Blu-Ray Review: ‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: The Complete Second Season’
Submitted by BrianTT on October 6, 2009 - 2:57pmCHICAGO – The excellent Blu-Ray release for the second season of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” highlights what worked about this series that was cancelled far too soon. There were storytelling flaws and a male lead that never quite worked, but “SCC” delivered theatrical caliber sci-fi entertainment every week and it looks absolutely amazing in HD. It’s a show that will be missed.

Don’t believe me? Check out the nearly-perfect and Emmy-nominated second season of “The Big Bang Theory,” now available on DVD.
