“Fifty Shades of Grey,” which opens on Feb. 13, 2015 and is rated “R,” also stars Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Ehle, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Callum Keith Rennie and Dylan Neal from director Sam Taylor-Johnson, producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti and writer Kelly Marcel based on the novels by E.L. James.

Here is the synopsis for “Fifty Shades of Grey”:

“Fifty Shades of Grey” is the hotly anticipated film adaptation of the best-selling book that has become a global phenomenon. The “Fifty Shades” trilogy has been translated into 51 languages worldwide and has sold more than 100 million copies in e-book and print – making it one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever.

Stepping into the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, who have become iconic to millions of readers, are Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

When literature student Anastasia Steele interviews the wealthy Christian Grey as a favor to her roommate Kate Kavanagh, she encounters a beautiful, brilliant and intimidating man. Despite his enigmatic reserve and advice, the innocent and naïve Ana finds herself desperate to get close to him.

Not able to resist Ana’s beauty and independent spirit, Christian Grey admits he wants her too, but in his own terms. Ana hesitates as she discovers the singular tastes of Christian Grey. Along with the embellishments of success, his multinational businesses, vast wealth and loving family, Grey is consumed by the need to control everything.

Joining Dornan and Johnson are Luke Grimes as Elliot, Christian’s brother; Victor Rasuk as José, Anastasia’s close friend; Eloise Mumford as Kate, Anastasia’s best friend and roommate; Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Christian’s mother; Rita Ora as Mia, Christian’s sister; Max Martini as Taylor, Christian’s bodyguard; Callum Keith Rennie as Ray, Anastasia’s stepfather; Jennifer Ehle as Carla, Anastasia’s mother; and Dylan Neal as Bob, Carla’s husband.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti alongside E.L. James, the creator of the series. The screenplay for the film is by Kelly Marcel.
