‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ Casting Agency Confirmed For Chicago Filming

CHICAGO – The 2010 reboot of “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” which will be directed by Samuel Bayer with characters from Wes Craven and Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach in the recent “Watchmen” film) starring as Freddy Krueger, is filming in Chicago.

Following the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” film in 1984, the Samuel Bayer reboot is slated to open on April 16, 2010. In addition to featuring Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger, Kyle Gallner has also been cast as Quentin.

Greetings. Count Gregula here. I’m a local horror host/entertainer/reviewer along vith part-time movie extra out of the Chicagoland area. And, I just like to say, I’m pleased as PLASMA PUNCH to find out that the NEW “A Nightmare on Elm Street” movie is set to film in Chicago!! VOW! That movie holds a special place in my BLOODY heart ever since I met Robert Englund (the original Freddy Krueger) three times in the past and even have a pic vith him on my personal site! For a horror movie aficionado such as myself this is a Spook-tacular opportunity to be involved in a remake of a horror classic right in my very own “dark alley” this time around! *evil laugh* Seriously, I’m looking forvard to the updates!

yah…they originally asked Barrington High School, but barrington denied because of all that has been going on there lately. They next asked Hersey High School and they accepted.
