CHICAGO – As the NCAA tournament wrapped up on Monday, you know one person whose opinion you wouldn’t ask for when contemplating the college basketball odds of Butler or Connecticut? That would be Charlie Sheen: the former “Two and a Half Men” star who has decided to take his eccentric style on the road for a tour that didn’t get off to a good start. Even Sheen has admitted he has to work on his stage show.

Charlie Sheen's My Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour

Sheen’s “My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option” tour kicked off in Detroit on Saturday. It garnered poor reviews to the point that he was booed before the show ended. Sheen didn’t really do much after his “goddesses” introduced the show. It appeared as though he had no plan as to what he wanted to do or say. Sheen often filled time with his buzzwords “winning,” “warlock” and “tiger blood”.

He then taunted a heckler by saying: “Dude, I already have your money. He reportedly came back onto the stage to thank the customers who stayed. The next show in Chicago was apparently improved with fans giving Sheen a standing ovation. Sheen says he may start using the audience for more Q&A in order to give them their money’s worth.

Anyone who spent their hard-earned money on this sham of a show should be ashamed of themselves. What were they expecting? Sheen isn’t a stand-up comedian. He has obviously suffered without a script, which is fitting because he’s an actor. He’s not versed in the art of improve. Sheen is a slap in the face to all comedians and improv actors.

While you can argue over Sheen’s ability as an actor, he has proven to be successful in that field. As much as “Two and a Half Men” is criticized, a lot of people watched it. He earned $2 million an episode. This is a travesty of an act and it won’t get any better. If anything, it’ll get worse. If there is any decency in the world, this is a train wreck that will eventually come to a head.
