CHICAGO – Jessica Lange’s long career as actor is on the record … from “King Kong” to “American Horror Story.” But her new book “Dérive” focuses on the photo artist in her, and she discussed it at the the 2022 Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) on November 12th. CHICAGO – The celebrity on the cover of the latest issue of People Magazine is Selma Blair. The actor has just released her memoir “Mean Baby” and talked about it at the Chicago Humanities Festival on May 14th, while photographed by Joe Arce for HollywoodChicago.com.

CHICAGO – The legendary “Pope of Trash,” outrageous filmmaker John Waters, promoted his new novel “Liarmouth: A Feel-Bad Romance” at the Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) on May 7th, 2022, and HollywoodChicago.com was there.

CHICAGO – The Spring Season continues on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, as the Chicago Humanities Festival presents an amazing day of forums and speakers. Kicking off the day will be a woman of history … in a week where we need her … as Anita Hill speaks on the topic of “Believing Women,” the subject of her new book. CHICAGO – Book Tour season has begun, and the Chicago Humanities Festival welcomed a prominent new author to their event. Molly Shannon, the raucous comic actor of “Saturday Night Live” fame, has written a new memoir entitled “Hello Molly!” On April 13th, 2022, Shannon appeared at the Humanities Festival with fellow SNL alum (and veteran of The Second City) Tim Meadows.

CHICAGO – Kim Gordon was part of a rock revolution in the 1980s and ‘90s, as part of the sound called Sonic Youth. She has written a memoir about those days, “Girl in a Band,” and promoted that book through an appearance sponsored by the Chicago Humanities Festival on February 26th, 2015, at the historic Music Box Theatre in Chicago.

CHICAGO – The famed Oscar-winning actress Anjelica Huston comes from a lineage of Hollywood royalty – her father John was a legendary director and her grandfather Walter was a noted actor. She brought all of that history to the Chicago Humanities Festival, where she was featured at the Closing Event on November 14th, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church at The Chicago Temple.
