Here is the plot description for “Vampires Suck”:

From motion picture parodists Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, comes “Vampires Suck”: a comedy with real bite. After successfully skewering Hollywood’s scariest movie (as two of the writers of “Scary Movie”), romantic comedy franchises (“Date Movie”), Hollywood blockbusters (“Epic Movie”), disaster films (“Disaster Movie”) and “300” (“Meet the Spartans”), Friedberg and Seltzer are at it again.

This time, they sink their teeth into today’s hottest pop culture phenomena: vampires and werewolves. The film stars Matt Lanter, who portrays vampire heartthrob Edward Sullen; Chris Riggi, as werewolf Jacob White; and Jenn Proske, as the soulful teen Becca who finds first love with the dreamily befanged Edward.

Pop culture goes through

Pop culture goes through phases of what supernatural creatures are popular. Vampires tend to be a constant due to the number of different takes on them. There are so many different “theories” as to the origins of both of these creatures that a writer can make the story anything they want without it being wrong.

ITS SIMPLE...

For the exact same reason women find serial killers and jailbirds SEXY, and the reason people are fascinated with jumping out of airplanes or extreme sports. Its the fine line between fear and fantasy that captivates people. Being thrilled and even chilled without ACTUALLY being in any real danger turns that fear into EXCITEMENT, its almost like getting high without any legal consequence - LOL

Vampires & Werewolves

Everyone loves a good fantasy. Vampires are sexy, dangerous, mysterious and immortal and werewolves are misunderstood.

I don’t buy into the

I don’t buy into the werewolf thing but vampires will always seem mysterious and sexy and everyone is lured in by their dangerous side. Plus they don’t age or die, immortality is kinda unbeatable here.

I think people like them for many different reasons but mostly because they are mysterious and immortal.

Why does pop culture love vampires and werewolves?

Pop culture thrives on rivalries, but few are as epic as the one between werewolves and vampires. There’s nothing quite like a showdown between epic arch-nemeses to get us watching, taking sides and passionately invested in the outcome.

Why does pop culture love vampires and werewolves?

Because it is considered forbidden and erotic all rolled in one.
