Across the Pond! On-Air TV Review of ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3

Ted Lasso was a a successful American football coach who unusually is hired by the AFC Richmond Greyhounds soccer team in London, and turns them around with his corn-pone Americanisms. He is aided by his right hand man nicknamed Beard (Brendan Hunt, also co-creator) and ex-star-player Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein). The first episode of Season Three all the cliff hangers from Season Two are addressed, especially the abdication of assistant coach Nate (Nick Mohammed) to rival team West Ham, which is owned by Rupert (Anthony Head), the ex-husband of Richmond owner Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham). And lest we forget Keeley (the bright Juno Temple) who has started her own PR firm. In Episode Two, Richmond’s latest star, the elusive Zava (Maximillian Osinki), is introduced.
