CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Dan Baker in for Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on February 23rd, 2023, reviewing “Cocaine Bear,” the based-on-truth coked up animal story. In theaters beginning February 24th.

In 1985, a cargo plane smuggling the white powder is about to crash. The pilot starts to chuck out the drugs, hoping to get a message to his contacts in Tennessee that the drugs are strewn all over a National Park … the Chathoochee National Forest in Georgia. When the pilot dies, the on-the-ground contact Syd (Ray Liotta), his son Eddie (Aiden Ehrenreich) and colleague Daveed (O’Shea Jackson) make a beeline to the Forest to find the cocaine bags, but they have to deal with those who are already there …. including some kids (Brooklynn Prince and Christian Convery), a mother (Keri Russell), park rangers (Margo Martindale and Jesse Tyler Ferguson), three teen burnouts and … guess what … one coked up bear.
