CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on January 6th, 2022, reviewing the latest from Ben Affleck, directed by George Clooney. “The Tender Bar” is streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting January 7th.

Ben Affleck portrays Uncle Charlie, a Long Island bartender in the 1970s who fancies himself a philosopher king. Tye Sheridan is J.R.(the source of the memoir that is based on the film), who rhapsodizes about his life as a kid hanging at the bar and later as a young college student, still thinking Affleck’s Uncle Charlie is the coolest cat.
