CHICAGO – Remember how we told you back in October that the FX hit series “Sons of Anarchy” was going to be renewed for a fifth season. Well, that season has not premiered yet, nor is there a release schedule set up yet, but FX is willing to invest even more in their hit drama. The basic cable network officially signed a deal for a sixth season of production for “Sons” that will follow the yet-to-be-released fifth season.

CHICAGO – The much anticipated release of “The Hunger Games” is officially 50 days away, and the Twitter world exploded this morning with #HungerGames50 tweets after a new trailer was released for the film. The trailer, which includes several scenes we have already seen from the first theatrical trailer, adds new conversations between Katniss and several other characters, including Prim, Gale, and Caesar.

CHICAGO – Writer/Director Matthew Vaughn has signed on to direct the sequel to “X-Men: First Class,” according to a report about Fox. Vaughn, who directed “First Class” (which did not gross a major profit, but received high critical and fan praise), is said to be onboard to direct a sequel that does not yet have a setting, synopsis, or definite writers.
