CHICAGO – I really wish I liked FX’s “Wilfred” more. It’s a decent show with elements of greatness (especially in Elijah Wood’s charismatic lead performance) that never quite clicks into something that finds its own potential. It’s like that stoner who tells you a joke that starts strong and eventually only becomes funny to him as he loses track of the punchline.

CHICAGO – Charlie Sheen opens his new sitcom “Anger Management,” debuting tomorrow night on FX in a new comedy block with “Wilfred,” “Louie,” and “Brand X,” by yelling right to the camera.

CHICAGO – With six episodes left to go in the third season, FX announced that their critical smash “Justified” would return for a fourth season in early 2013. Season three of Timothy Olyphant drama is averaging 4.3 million total viewers every week, an incredible number for cable, and last year’s run ended up on a number of top ten lists and won Margo Martindale an Emmy. By most measurements, it’s FX’s biggest hit.

CHICAGO – Fans of the hilarious animated spy show “Archer” will be happy to know that laughs won’t stop at the end of season three. FX has officially signed the show for a fourth season, as well as an overall productin deal with show creators Adam Reed and Matt Thompson and their production studio, Floyd County Productions.

CHICAGO – FX has inked one of the hottest actor/comedians out there right now when they signed Russell Brand for six half-hour episodes of a new show. The untitled, unscripted show will be Brand’s comedic take on Current Events, Politics, and Pop Culture.

CHICAGO – Fantasy football and comedy series fans rejoice! There will be a fourth Shiva Bowl next year, as FX has officially renewed “The League” for a fourth season. The announcement came this afternoon as season three totals have continued to rise for the series.
