CHICAGO – Another Chicago cinema gem is reopening after 18 long months in pandemic shutdown. FACETS is a multimedia gem co-founded by legendary film influencer Milos Stehlik, which has resided on Fullerton Avenue west of the DePaul neighborhood for nearly 50 years.

CHICAGO – Season 13 of Chicago’s Asian Pop Up Cinema (APUC) is about to launch on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, at the AMC River East in Chicago. CHICAGO – During the year 1969, in the midst of Woodstock and Summer of Soul, was the Rock ’n Roll Revival, taking place in Toronto, Canada. What makes this concert as significant as the other two – astoundingly, all three shows took place within three months of each other – is that a Canadian rock promoter named Johnny Brower snagged the biggest act of all for the show… John Lennon.

CHICAGO – September of 2021 is just around the corner, and two major Chicago film festivals have announced their Fall film line-ups … both Season 13 of the Asian Pop-Up Cinema (APUC) and the 39th edition of the REELING LGBTQ+ International Festival.

TORONTO – The Canadian metal band “Living Dead Girl” has a style that is a unique combination of Marilyn Manson meets (fellow Canadian front woman) Avril Lavigne, with an amalgam of genres including goth, rock, metal, industrial, pop and punk rock. The band will present a Virtual Christmas Show on December 12th, 2020.

CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com features an audio review of the newly released “The Twentieth Century,” the debut of Canadian filmmaker Matthew Rankin. The film is a surreal retelling of Canadian history, specifically regarding former Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King.
