The description follows for “Yonkers, NY,” which is Chip Taylor’s latest album.

“Yonkers, NY” is a heartfelt and endearing window into the life of a young man learning about music, horses, girls and family. Chip Taylor was raised by a father who worked as a golf professional (though he managed to convince his youngest son for years that he was also an FBI agent) along with his two brothers: actor Jon Voight and renowned scientist Dr. Barry Voight.

On the album, Taylor assumes the character of young Jamie (as Taylor was known back then) as he feels the trials, tribulations and triumphs of a young man finding his way who was occasionally beset by fate and some particularly wily siblings.

The music video for Chip Taylor’s “Charcoal Sky” from “Yonkers, NY” can be found below.

How music moves me

Music makes me think about life more positively when I am down. When I’m happy, music makes me sing and dance and it makes me want to share my happiness with others around me.

Music

How music affects me depends on the kind of music that is playing. HArder music moves me in a different emotional direction than music with a stronger melody. But music affects our emotions, no doubt.
