“Motherhood,” which opens to a limited amount of theaters on October 23, stars Uma Thurman, Anthony Edwards and Minnie Driver. The film, which was shot on location in New York’s West Village, is a comedy about the dilemmas of the maternal state (marriage, work and self) into the trials and tribulations of one pivotal day. The film isn’t like any other film because it uses both humor and a sense of authenticity to show what it really takes to be a mother.

Tickets for the opening night are now available for purchase at Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) or 1.800.982.2787. Tickets for the festival are $150 each and will include the tribute, screening and reception at theWit Hotel (201 N. State in Chicago) immediately following the screening. Opening Night is presented by Cinema/Chicago and Presenting Partner, Columbia College.

Uma Thurman was most recently seen in “The Accidental Husband” and “The Life Before Her Eyes” and starred in “My Super Ex-Girlfriend,” “The Producers,” “Prime,” “Be Cool,” “Kill Bill,” “Paycheck,” “Tape,” “The Avengers,” “Gattaca,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Dangerous Liaisons,” and many more.
