Here is the “Saving Grace” plot description:

Living life in the fast lane comes naturally to Oklahoma City major crimes detective Grace Hanadarko who – despite being at the top of her field – takes self-destruction to new heights.

After seeing tremendous tragedy in her life both professionally and personally, Grace embraces living life hard and fast. Though it can be fun, she often drinks too much, sleeps with the wrong men and defies authority.

But Grace does have a tender side that she shares with her 22 nieces and nephews. It’s a side of her that most of the world doesn’t get to see. However, it all catches up with her one night when – as she’s driving too fast after too many drinks – she hits a man who is walking along the road.

In an uncharacteristic moment, Grace asks for help and she gets it in the form of an unconventional angel named Earl. Earl warns Grace that she is in trouble and running out of chances, but he’s here to help. The journey for both of them will not be an easy one.

hm...

So far, my education has saved me. Who knows what I’d be doing right now if I wasn’t in school.

what or who has saved you?

Education. I do not think that I would have as much opportunity as I have had in this economy if I did not have education. I am the first college graduate in my family and who is earning a decent living. Education does really help.
