To get leverage I try and be as kind as I can to those around me, in the hope it will allow others to return the favor.

Actors have no leverage!

I’ve been in the acting biz for decades. Actors have to jump through endless hoops of approval, with little to show for it. The acting unions have leverage — to an extent — but to land a union gig is a nearly impossible feat. That’s why all actors — even famous ones — chronically fret that they’ll never work again after a gig ends.

Leverage in Life

For me, leverage in life is summed-up in this quote from Henry David Thoreau:

“I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestioned ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor.”

Here’s to all working hard creating balance, purpose and happiness in their lives!

Cheers, Peter
