CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Ben Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on January 12th, 2023, reviewing “Plane,” the latest action thriller featuring Gerard Butler. In theaters beginning January 13th.

Butler portrays pilot Brodie Torrence who is assigned the Singapore route for Trailblazer Airlines. On a light load New Year’s Eve – only 14 passengers, including a killer being extradited name Gaspare (Mike Colter) – the pilot Brodie is forced in an electrical storm to crash land on a remote island.The land is ruled by an small time dictator-led crime gang (who mostly kidnap foreigners for ransom), and there is no way to get the passengers out. Enter Gaspare the killer, who happens also to be an ex-French Foreign Legion, and he teams up with Pilot Brodie to take on the island mafia, with the help of mercenaries hired under the table by the airline. Can they escape?

”Plane” is in theaters beginning January 13th. Featuring Gerard Butler, Mike Coulter, Tony Goldwyn, Daniella Pineda and Paul Ben-Victor. Screenplay by Charles Cumming and J.P. Davis. Directed by Jean-Francois Richet. Rated “R”
