CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on January 5th, 2023, reviewing “M3GAN” a term pronounced “Megan” but short for Model 3 Generative Android. This robot film is in theaters beginning January 6th.

Gemma (Allison Williams) is a robot nerd who works for a toy company. When a horrible accident kills her sister and brother in law, Gemma is given guardianship of her niece Cady (Violet McGraw). Trying to get the sad child a new spark, Gemma introduces her to M3GAN, a new toy that’s a life-size robot companion doll. The blank faced android … whose built-in computer learns to socialize as she interacts … is perfect for Cady’s mood, and the two become best friends. Unfortunately, the company that Gemma works for desires to release MEGAN to the wider world, which exposes the Frankenstein monster within the toy doll.

M3GAN” is in theaters beginning January 6th. Featuring Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Ronny Chieng, Amie Donald and Jenna Davis, Screenplay by Aketa Cooper. Directed by Gerard Johnstone. Rated “R”
