Chip ’n Dale, the animated chipmunks who first emerged in 1943 in a Walt Disney Studios Pluto the Dog cartoon, were reinvented as cartoon detectives on TV in the late 1980s/‘90s as “Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers.” In the film the duo are reunited in modern times for another case, with Chip (voice of John Mulaney) still in 2D cartoon form, and Dale (Andy Samberg) converted with CGI makeover. “Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers” is streaming on Disney+ beginning May 20th. Featuring the voices of Andy Samberg, John Mulaney, Will Arnett, Eric Band, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, and J.K. Simmons. Written by Dan Gregor and Doug Band. Directed by Akiva Schaffer. Rated “PG
