HollywoodChicago.com Oscarman rating: 5.0/5.0
Rating: 5.0/5.0

This is Shorts.TV’s annual overview of the Oscar nominated short films for the upcoming March 27th Oscars. There are three categories … short Documentary (4/5), Animation (4.5/5) and Live Action Fiction (5/5). Apparent themes were Redemption for Documentary, Tragedy-is-Drama for Live Action and Life Vaguely Drawn for Animation. Ironically, the awarding of the shorts Oscars in all three categories were pushed to tape delay instead of live, part of the excising of eight categories for the 2022 ceremony.

“2022 Oscar Nominated Short Films” are in select theaters on February 25th, in separate Documentary, Live Action and Animation programs, and through Video On Demand beginning March 22nd. Screening in Chicago at the MUSIC BOX THEATRE and other locations. Click SHORTS.TV for more information.
