The stage origin of “Come From Away” began modestly in Canada, before going to Broadway in 2017, telling the miraculous story of a forgotten airport and a small town named Gander in Newfoundland, where 38 planes landed unexpectedly on September 11th, 2001. The North Eastern Canadian island province was overrun with 7000 people from those planes, but took them in, sheltered and fed them over four long days.

“Come From Away” streams on AppleTV+ beginning September 10th Featuring Petrina Bromley, Jean Colella, De’Lon Grand, Joel Hatch and Astrid Van Wieren. Written by David Hein and Irene Sankoff. Directed by Christopher Ashley. Rated “PG-13”
