British-born Alex McAleer practices the art of mentalism, which gives the appearance of a highly developed intuitive or connectively mental abilities. He got interested in the craft after his mother passed away when he was a teenager, and his obsession with her afterlife led him to his advocation. His method is not psychic or a door to the deceased, but rather a reading of people and talking to the living, combining contemporary mind interaction with sharp wit and a flair for showmanship. He’s made TV appearances in Britain, Australia, and the U.S. (“Access Hollywood”).

In a Podtalk with Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com, Mentalist Alex McAleer defines his style, reflects on his origins and talks about the human element of his performance craft.

”Champions of Magic” will be presented at the Harris Theater, 205 East Randolph Street (Millennium Park), Chicago, from December 23rd through December 29th, 2019. For more information about the Harris Theater, click here
