CHICAGO – Fans of the NBC series “Grimm” will be happy to know that there is at least another full season of the show still to come. The freshman series has officially been renewed for a second season.

Starring David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, and Bitsie Tulloch, “Grimm” follows the story of detective in Portland, OR who has become a Grimm; a person who has the ability to see supernatural creatures. As a Grimm, he is forced to keep the balance between mankind and the mythological world.

“Grimm” has been a bright spot in what has been some tough times for NBC dramas. With the struggle for ratings with “The Playboy Club,” “Prime Suspect,” “Free Agents,” and “The Firm,” “Grimm seems like an easy show to continue with. It’s most recent episode drew 5.2 million viewers and its 87% increase in the 18-49 demographic is the largest of any network series in DVR Live+7 data.
