CHICAGO – A release date has been given for the reworked update of one of the best PlayStation 2 games ever released. On February 21 of this year, “Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D” will be released to Nintendo 3DS players everywhere. Konami also confirmed the game will use the new Circle Pad Pro accessory on the 3DS.

Originally created by Hideo Kojima and his production and design team, “Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D” will use the glasses-free 3D imaging system to bring even deeper depth to the jungles and environments that make up the “Snake Eater” world. The game, in which you play as an agent who uses stealth techniques and camouflage to sneak through jungle and Soviet facilities, will also use an all-new camouflage photography system. The game will allow you to take a picture of real-life items in your home or wherever you are playing and use the color of the item as the color of Snake’s camouflage. Of course, the camouflage will only be as effective as you are at finding the proper color matches.

The game also uses the split screen style of the 3DS to its advantage, placing Snake’s inventory of weapons and items on the bottom screen, allowing for quick weapon changes and the ability to use items more rapidly.

If you are a fan of “Metal Gear,” or you love the technology of the 3DS, you will not want to miss when this classic game comes back to life in an all new way on February 21.
