The new AMC Randhurst 12, which is Chicago’s first LEED-certified theatre, incorporates various aspects of environmentally sustainable design. LEED is a globally recognized green-building certification system that assures practical and measurable design for green construction, operations and maintenance.

Along with being a green-friendly theatre, guests at AMC Randhurst 12 enjoy unique seating options that include first-come, first-served box seats along the sides of the auditoriums, seats with extra leg room in the back row and front-row recliners.

Guests also experience the only all-digital theatre in the area. AMC Randhurst 12 is equipped with Sony 4K digital cinema projection systems, which offer the highest picture resolution of all available projection technologies and more than four times greater than high-definition.

Before or after the show, guests at AMC Randhurst 12 can enjoy an alcoholic beverage at MacGuffins, which is a full-service bar and lounge area inside the theatre. Named after a term coined by famed filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, MacGuffins features a variety of beer, wine and cocktails. MacGuffins operates from 4 to 11 p.m. daily. Guests must be at least 21 years old.

If guests are looking for a non-alcoholic beverage, AMC Randhurst 12 offers Coca-Cola Freestyle, which allows patrons to use cutting-edge technology to create their own personal drink mix from more than 100 choices.
