Here is the plot description for “Nice Guy Johnny”:

Sure, she can be a little overbearing sometimes, but baby-faced Johnny Rizzo loves his fiancée, Claire. He made her a promise: By the time he’s 25 years old, he’ll trade his current dream job as a local sports-talk radio host (even if it’s the 2 a.m. slot) for something that’ll pay bigger bucks. And Johnny’s a man of his word.

Now he’s flying to New York to interview for some snoozeville job that Claire’s well-to-do father set up. Enter Uncle Terry who lives in New York and is a rascally womanizer bent on turning a day in the Hamptons into a final fling for his nephew. Nice guy Johnny’s not interested, of course, but then he meets the lovely Brooke.

Let’s settle the score: Do nice guys finish first or last?

Nice guys usually finish first with the right girl. However, it will probably take a little while for them to find that girl…

Do nice guys finish first or last? Both, because...

… they almost always finish last in getting the FIRST girl (which is to say that the never get the girls… at first) but then time works its magic, and eventually they get the RIGHT girl in the end, and that right girl is usually the best one of all. :-) (I’m actually hoping that this is true, since I keep waiting…)

Please DON’T enter me into

Please DON’T enter me into the drawing because I don’t care about the Prize pack. I want to see the movie in the theater, not on DVD, and anyway it should go to someone who’s a big Edward Burns fan (I like him, but there are much bigger fans who deserve it), but I did want to say that nice guys definitely finish first with me. We live in a world that so often seems to reward assholish behavior, from Teabagging Republicans to reality shows. The rewards (money, notoriety) come at the price of common decency and a soul. Which is more valuable in the end? That sounds trite but geez, how can some of these people live with themselves for the things they do and say?

Do nice guys finish last or first?

It depends on who the nice try finishing with. If WE, choose to finish with those who are use to not so nice guys, then the odds of finishing first are slim…very slim. However, if we pick people who demand, prefer, or honestly long for serenity in there life they truly appreciated a geniunely nice guy.
