Here is the synopsis for “Stone”:

2010 Chicago International Film FestivalAs parole officer Jack Mabry (Oscar winner Robert De Niro) counts the days toward a quiet retirement, he is asked to review the case of Gerald “Stone” Creeson (Oscar nominee Edward Norton). Stone is in prison for covering up the murder of his grandparents with a fire.

Now eligible for early release, Stone needs to convince Jack he has reformed, but his attempts to influence the older man’s decision have profound and unexpected consequences for them both.

“Stone” skillfully weaves together the parallel journeys of two men grappling with dark impulses as the line between lawman and lawbreaker becomes precariously thin.

Golden Globe winner Frances Conroy also stars as Madylyn – Jack’s devout, long-suffering spouse – while Milla Jovovich delivers a startlingly raw, breakout performance as the sexy, casually amoral woman both men desire.

Tough Choice

The thought of it would gross me out, but I guess people have done harder things for love. The spouse had better be worth it.

No. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I would be shocked if her sleeping with the parole officer gets the result she was hoping for anyway. I would think doing something that the only person that is going to get anything out of it is the parole officer.

Yes, I think if you really loved your husband you would do anything to get him out of prison no matter the consequences. I would sleep with my husband’s parole officer if it meant helping him out of jail, that is what you do for your significant other, that is why you took vows at your wedding basically through thick and thin.
