Billy Idol is most known for his songs including “Dancing With Myself,” “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without a Face,” “Baby Talk,” “Hot in the City,” “White Wedding” and “Catch My Fall”. Slash is the former lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses.

Well, if you count his Generation X days then his first hit was probably “Your Generation.” “Dancing with Myself” also turned out to be pretty big, but I don’t think it counts as his first true hit because he released it as Generation X. I would not consider “Mony Mony” his first hit either as his was only a cover version. In my opinion, his first true hit as a solo artist was “Hot in the City.”
