Here is the plot description for “Mesrine: Killer Instinct”:

“Mesrine: Killer Instinct” introduces us to Jacques Mesrine (Vincent Cassel): a loyal son and dedicated soldier back home who’s living with his parents after serving in the Algerian War. Soon he is seduced by the neon glamour of 1960s Paris and the easy money it presents.

Mentored by Guido (Gérard Depardieu), Mesrine turns his back on middle-class law abiding and soon moves swiftly up the criminal ladder. After pulling off an audacious heist, he and his lover, Jeanne (Cécile De France), flee to Canada. Three things...

1. revenge
2. money
3. breaking ALL the rules

the first two would definitely be great incentive for a life of crime. but i think the idea of breaking of the rules of society/law is something that i think folks would like to do - but don’t.

Women (Girl friend) would be alluring enough to lead into a life of crime. The passion to get her can make me do anything :)
