Willow

Willow was a great adventure and a welcome introduction to fantasy movies, for me a great precursor to A Princess Bride.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas - My daughter and I had the best time watching this film. She would like to watch it over and over and just laugh.

Meaningful Ron Howard Film

I have to say that my most meaningful Ron Howard film is ‘Willow’! My brother and I LOVED that movie growing up! We would play and act out characters all the time. We had a lot of memorable fun from that movie - thank you Ron!

P.S. The very first DVD I owned was ‘A Beautiful Mind’ - so there’s some special connection to that movie too!!

Ron Howard Tribute

Hi,

I really enjoyed “Far and Away.” I thought it had an interesting plot and wonderful scenery. There was definite chemistry between the very young Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise.

A Beautiful Mind

Ron Howard gets the best from an excellent cast, in a real life story of a difficult subject.

Apollo 13

I had a ton of VHS tapes as a kid, but the ones that I would always keep in circulation were Toy Story, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Apollo 13. NASA in the mid-1900s was a melting pot of the greatest scientists and engineers to have ever walked this earth, or any other satellite planet. Watching a movie like that brings hope that this generation, or any other future generation of science-minded young people could aspire to be as great as them.

And look at me now; I’m going to be a junior at engineering school this coming fall, and I hope to end up in the film industry as well.

He also brought me Arrested Development, and that show brought me through a very tough time in my life with laughter and joy. I cannot thank him enough for that.

Parenthood

My favorite Ron Howard movie was sweet, funny and all too real for me.

Willow

I loved Val Kilmer from “Real Genius” and have always been a fan of movies in the sci fi/fantasy genre.

To combine my two favorite things into one move was wonderful! It has always been one of my top favorites, that brings back that instant feeling of happiness and youth, and the memories that go with them.
