Here is “The Runaways” plot description:

“The Runaways” follows two friends – Joan Jett (Kristen Stewart) and Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning) – as they rise from rebellious southern California kids to rock stars of the now-legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. They fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley (Michael Shannon) who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits.

With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself and so do its two leads. Joan is the band’s pure rock ’n roll heart while Cherie (with her Bowie-Bardot looks) is the sex kitten.

Dakota Is Awesome!!!! I would love to win!

I have to say how amazing of an actress I think Dakota is. I believe that she has made it strong in her past acting days and I believe that “Runaways” was a wonderful step in a “transformer” direction. I own thousands of movies and have our own “Disney Vault” and I can honestly say I own every movie she has played in! Man on fire, I am Sam, dreamer and just a few on my faves list. When I am talking about a transformer, I am talking about someone who could assume the role of another character being and make us believe that whatever we hear and see about that characters traits, thoughts and feelings, could touch us and reach us on so many levels. Risky role takers, like I would consider Heath Ledger much like you as he was a transformer as well; taking on broke Back Mountain. Here you have a chance to play out of your jurisdiction and try something new and possibly life altering. I can actually see her owning the storyline and the characters. People, who can sing, dance, shout, cry, monologue, play the part and be able to make that connection with us… I have always supported her choice in roles and she has turned out to be a very warm spirited and care hearted person. She is intelligent and sometimes beyond her years, but I always thought age was just a number. She is beautiful and successful. I wish her nothing but happiness and love in her years to come.
