I have received the following information about a “Public Enemies” casting call that took place on March 1, 2008 in Chicago (confirmation information is here from the City of Chicago). While we know filming is about to begin in Chicago, we haven’t yet confirmed when and where.

02/26/08: Extras Needed for “Public Enemies”

The Universal feature film “Public Enemies” directed by Michael Mann, starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale is searching for people to work as paid non-speaking extras.

We are shooting in the Chicago area and need people with great faces for this 1930s period film. We are currently looking for men no taller than 6’1”. Women should be no taller than 5’8” and no larger than a size 12. We also need thin children to reflect the time period.

If you are already registered with Joan Philo you are still required to attend this casting call in order to be considered.

The Casting Call will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 10a – 4p. The Call will take place at:

Lane Tech High School
2501 W. Addison Street
Chicago
* Parking is on Western, south of Addison on the west side of the street

If you are interested in being considered please bring a recent color photograph and a pen. You will have to fill out a registration card. You should come wearing:

Men: Dark to medium suit, tie, and an overcoat (not down), and dress shoes. As this is a period piece, it is very important that your hair be kept long; therefore, do not cut your hair. If you have long hair, pull it back in a ponytail.

Women: Dark to medium dress or skirt and sweater, overcoat, and pumps (medium heel). Set hair in curlers the night before and come with it brushed out.
