CHICAGO – The Sentieri Italiani, an Italian language school in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood, is proud to announce the film series “SCREENING ITALY: Italian Cinema through the lens of history.”

Dr. Therese Grisham, an instructor in film studies at both Columbia College and DePaul University in Chicago, will conduct three lectures on Italian film and Italian history on three dates…April 9th, May 20th and June 4th, 2011. Making use of audio-visual materials and a lively speaking style, Dr. Grisham offers a necessary background for understanding Italian cinema.

Sentieri Italiani’s Cineforum will offer, in tandem with the lectures, screenings of Italian feature films from the post World War II era to the present, some internationally recognized, others unknown outside of Italy.
