CHICAGO – What’s clear is “Transformers 2” is set to hit movie theaters in 2009. What’s not clear is whether or not “Transformers” director Michael Bay will be the man who directs it.

The Los Angeles Times reported on Sept. 21:

[Steven] Spielberg … and director Michael Bay have signed on to make “Transformers 2,” [which is] scheduled to hit theaters in the summer of 2009.

Bay wrote last week in his official forums that he may “jump ship” if another big-ticket film comes along.
