CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com audio film review for the newly released “Inside,” an unusual tour de force for actor Willem Dafoe, put into a situation that confines his reality. Currently in theaters, since March 17th.
Dafoe is an art thief, working with a team via walkie talkie, who infiltrates the museum-like penthouse apartment of an Uber-wealthy collector in New York City. When he accidentally trips an alarm, the entire penthouse becomes a safe house, locking down and trapping him inside, shutting off the water and contact with the building’s staff. His team also abandons him, and he’s left on his own to fend for himself.
