NAPERVILLE, Ill. – A Golden Globe winner and one of Time magazine’s most influential people of 2011, “Glee” star and new author Chris Colfer poses for a HollywoodChicago.com close-up before his sold-out book signing on July 19, 2012 at Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville, Ill.

Fans from as far away as Canada swarmed to meet their idol for three days of book-signing events to promote his first novel and children’s book “The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell [14]”.

As for his fashion-forward “Glee” character Kurt Hummel, Colfer will be teamed up with one of his real-life idols, Sarah Jessica Parker, as she joins the cast in season four. Parker plays a Vogue journalist interacting with both Kurt and the Rachel Berry character (Lea Michele). The episode premieres on Sept. 13, 2012 on Fox.

Colfer also made Chicagoland appearances at the Old Orchard Barnes & Noble in Skokie Ill. on July 20, 2012 as well as Barbara’s Bookstore at Macy’s in Chicago on July 21, 2012 to frenzied crowds.
