Exclusive Portrait: Chad Michael Murray Debuts His Graphic Novel ‘Everlast’

CHICAGO – Teenage heartthrob and former fashion model Chad Michael Murray is expanding his repertoire, as the author of a new graphic novel called “Everlast.” Best known for his role as Lucas Scott in “One Tree Hill,” Murray was in the Chicago area recently signing his novel and greeting admirers.

Murray was from the East Coast, attending high school in Clarence, New York. He headed to Los Angeles for a modeling and acting career, and found success modeling for clients such as Skechers, Tommy Hilfiger and Gucci. He also landed several TV gigs, including a semi-regular role as Tristan DuGrey on ‘The Gilmore Girls.’ In 2003, he starred opposite Lindsay Lohan in Walt Disney’s “Freaky Friday” remake, and also landed the role of Lucas Scott in “One Tree Hill.” Although he left the show in 2009, it has been announced he will be making an appearance in this final season.

He makes his debut as a graphic novel writer with “Everlast,” and he signed and promoted the book last month at the Old Orchard Barnes & Noble Bookseller in Skokie, Illinois. Photographer Joe Arce took this Exclusive Portrait of Chad Michael Murray for HollywoodChicago.com.
