CHICAGO – A significant reunion took play at the Hollywood Celebrities & Memorabilia Show last weekend as three of the main characters from two great sitcoms from the 1970s reunited for a class picture. Henry Winkler of “Happy Days,” plus Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams of “Laverne & Shirley” were there.
“Laverne & Shirley” was actually a spin-off of “Happy Days,” both created and produced by Garry Marshall, Penny’s brother. Henry Winkler as Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli started as a background character on “Happy Days,” and then broke out to be a phenomenon during the era of the show. He contnues to do character roles for shows such as “Arrested Development” and “Children’s Hospital.” Penny Marshall went on to direct classic and popular films, including “Big,” “Awakenings,” and “A League of Their Own.” Cindy Williams continues to do stage and screen roles.
Photographer Joe Arce captured this Exclusive Portrait, a rare group photo of the former cast mates, on October 2nd at the Hollywood Celebrities and Memorabilia Show.
