CHICAGO – With “The Dark Knight Rises” filming continuing today at the Farmiloe Building on St. John Street in London [7], a number of new developments have hit the Web.
First, a set video has appeared on YouTube at the Farmiloe Building. The man on the street who shot the video mocks himself and admits the footage is less than exciting, but it’s a legit set video nonetheless. In the video, he does discuss seeing an unknown woman in an unusual pink dress.
Also, the following new set photo cropped up on Wednesday where we see silver high heels dangling from the ceiling of the Gotham Police Department.
Without citing sources and mentioning that a spokeswoman for “The Dark Knight Rises” refused to comment on the information, the site claims that a “landmark building” in Croydon (a town in south London) is “facing a Hollywood-style destruction. Delta Point near West Croydon station is marked for a computerized demolition as part of [‘The Dark Knight Rises’].”
While HollywoodChicago.com can’t currently confirm this news, it reminds us and especially Chicagoans when “The Dark Knight” exploded the former Brach’s candy building [18] in Chicago at 2:18 p.m. on Aug. 29, 2007. In “The Dark Knight,” Warner Bros. turned the abandoned candy building into a hospital. And, of course, Heath Ledger as The Joker made it go kablooey.
“The Dark Knight Rises” will again star Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox and Michael Caine as Alfred. The film also stars Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Diego Klattenhoff and Alon Aboutboul. Nestor Carbonell and Daniel Sunjata are currently rumored to be involved.
The film, which is again directed by Christopher Nolan, is scheduled for release on July 20, 2012. “The Dark Knight Rises” is written by David S. Goyer (story), Bob Kane (characters), Christopher Nolan (screenplay), Christopher Nolan (story) and Jonathan Nolan (screenplay) with original music from Hans Zimmer and cinematography by Wally Pfister.
