CHICAGO – Following our report on Saturday [15] that filming for “The Dark Knight Rises” began in Jodhpur, India with set photos that leaked from there, it has now been confirmed [16] that director Christopher Nolan and his henchmen have moved filming to St. John Street in London.
Various sources have informed Batman-News.com that the St. John Street shoot will last about four days from May 16, 2011 to May 20, 2011.
As films are required to inform local residents and businesses of potential interruption, businesses in the area have been advised that they’ll be hearing gunshots during this shoot. On St. John Street, sources say that Nolan will likely be filming at the Farmiloe Building. This building was transformed into the Gotham City Police Station for “The Dark Knight” and “Batman Begins”.
“The Dark Knight Rises” will again star Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox and Michael Caine as Alfred. The film also stars Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence and Diego Klattenhoff. Nestor Carbonell and Daniel Sunjata are currently rumored to be involved.
The film, which is again directed by Christopher Nolan, is scheduled for release on July 20, 2012. “The Dark Knight Rises” is written by David S. Goyer (story), Bob Kane (characters), Christopher Nolan (screenplay), Christopher Nolan (story) and Jonathan Nolan (screenplay) with original music from Hans Zimmer and cinematography by Wally Pfister.
We have received the photo below, which is the first set photo from St. John Street in London on May 12, 2011. The white building pictured below will become the Gotham City Police Station in “The Dark Knight Rises”. At the time this photo was taken, we’re told nothing much was going on except for power cables being laid down from vans.
Below, we’re exclusively publishing another set photo of the Farmiloe Building at St. John Street in London where “The Dark Knight Rises” will soon be filming. This was photo was submitted to us at 7:44 a.m. CST on May 13, 2011 and was snapped by a cell phone. Impressive for a cell photo, eh?
In an exclusive report we just published, we now learn that cast members of “The Dark Knight Rises” are sneaking in through a different location. Learn more here! [18]
