Camp Midnight invites you to spend MOTHER’S DAY WITH “MOMMIE DEAREST” on Sunday, May 10 at 1:30pm at the Music Box Theatre.

Camp Midnight fans and their mommies are invited to “get up early” for a special presentation on the camp classic Mommie Dearest, the iconic 1981 film about movie star Joan Crawford starring Faye Dunaway. The Joan-a-Palooza festivities start at 1:30 pm with a pre-show hosted by Dick O’Day and featuring performers from the Hell in a Handbag theater company.

Get out your eyebrow pencil, shoulder pads and f*** me pumps to compete in the Joan Crawford look-a-like contest! Thrill to prize giveaways! Be amazed at a special performance by The Joans, the world’s first band dedicated to “giving Joan Crawford a rock-n-roll voice.”

A screening of the over-the-top camp classic immediately follows the pre-show mayhem. Audience members will receive an interactive audience guild, and members of Camp Midnight will provide hilarious running commentary throughout the film.

Capture the moment for all eternity with a special photo taken with Joan and Christina by Rick Aguilar Photo Studios with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Hell in a Handbag’s upcoming revival of Poseidon!

Special Brunch Offer:
Camp Midnight is offering an exclusive upgrade for the event. Guests can purchase V.I.M.(Very Important Mother) tickets that include brunch beginning at noon at Blue Bayou (3734 N. Southport) and preferred, reserved seating at the theatre.
