CHICAGO – As first reported here on Aug. 14, 2007 [1], “The Dark Knight” at 2:18 p.m. on Aug. 29, 2007 exploded the former Brach’s Candy building in Chicago.
The FOX Chicago helicopter captured excellent footage [2] of the action. The following images are courtesy of FOX Chicago. They show the explosion before, during and after.

4:03 p.m. update: One of my sources for this story (“Sam PH”) just submitted to me photos he captured from being on location.

He also had this to say:
They did a test run with a group of nurses sprinting from the building followed by a slow-tracking shot of a walking doctor or nurse.
First to go was a walkway between the main building and the parking garage. Nurses were seen running as chunks of concrete began flying.
Then came the main explosions. It was very noisy with a tremendously hot fireball that could be felt from across Cicero.
The action has also been filmed and put online here [3]. FOX Chicago’s latest news coverage can be found here [4]. USA Today picked this up here [5].
11:05 a.m. update on 8/30/07: On Wednesday night, I was also e-mailed about this being captured on video and uploaded to YouTube [6].
