As HollywoodChicago.com 1.0 was based on completely different technology and underlying architecture, much of the work to bring the previous content over to HollywoodChicago.com 2.0 is manual.

I am aware that we have a good number of “page not found” errors at this time as hundreds of articles from the previous site still aren’t here at our new home.

In part one of the process, I have created all our previous “labels” on the new site. Labels (i.e. “Denzel Washington,” “The Dark Knight,” etc.) help us easily categorize content specifically written about that person, movie, etc.

Clicking on a label brings you to a page only about that particular label. These (and there are more than 1,500 of them already) can be see here along with how many times they’ve been referenced: http://www.hollywoodchicago.com/sitemap [1]

As for all of our previous articles, I started working backward from the present. I currently only have all of our content in the new site through Dec. 20, 2007. I’ll keep efforting and keep you updated about the progress here.
