Well, that season has not premiered yet, nor is there a release schedule set up yet, but FX is willing to invest even more in their hit drama. The basic cable network officially signed a deal for a sixth season of production for “Sons” that will follow the yet-to-be-released fifth season.

No, the show is not delayed, but, rather, extended. FX announced today that the fourth season will have one extra episode, bringing the season’s total to 14.

After creating the hit series “Nip/Tuck” and putting America in a singing and dancing craze with “Glee,” the pair have created another mega hit with his horror/drama series “American Horror Story.” Now, the pair hit treat instead of trick on Halloween afternoon as FX has given the go ahead for a second season of the series.

The season four premiere of the show had 6.5 million viewers watching when it premiered and added another 3 million in its encore plays. The 9.5 million total viewers for the one episode included 6.3 million adults from 18-49 years old.
