CHICAGO – Capcom unleashed a trailer for the highly anticipated downloadable title, “Marvel vs. Capcom 2,” a summer release that pits legendary characters from the Marvel Universe (including the hero of the first big summer movie, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”) vs. ones from Capcom games. CHICAGO – Some games are designed to take the edge off the day, to relax you from the stress of the real world. Play the excellent downloadable game “Flower” for a good example of one those. Don’t play “Killzone 2,” a fantastic shooter, one of the best in a long time, but also a stressful, sometimes terrifying ride through an alien war zone.

CHICAGO – If Alan Moore still paid attention to the products based on his creations, the downloadable game “Watchmen: The End is Nigh” might make him give up once and for all. His book that so masterfully deconstructed the superhero genre has been turned into an old-fashioned brawler, in which the player is supposed to get thrills from beating up an endless stream of bad guys. “Watchmen” truly has become like any other superhero franchise, complete with a lame video game to accompany it.

CHICAGO – To play the mesmerizing, addictive “Flower,” the latest downloadable game available on the Playstation Network, gamers will have to leave their typical expectations on what constitutes a “typical game” behind. With wave after wave of FPS variations dominating the market, it’s refreshing to experience a title so creatively conceived and expertly designed.
