Entertainment News: Xfinity Watchathon Offers More Than 10,000 Free Films & TV, May 11-17, 2020

CHICAGO – Comcast announced last week that the Xfinity Watchathon Week 2020 will take place from May 11th through the 17th. Included in the free offerings for customers will be the Hulu originals “Little Fires Everywhere” and “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and other original shows from EPIX, STARZ and SHOWTIME channels. The Watchathon will be available on the X1, Flex and Xfinity Stream platforms.

Theater News: 2017 Non-Equity Jeff Awards Celebrate Best of Chicago Theater

CHICAGO – The 44th edition of the Non-Equity Jeff Awards were given out on June 5th, 2017, at what insiders call “the theater prom.” The event honors the non-union smaller or “storefront” theater companies, and their efforts to produce quality stage work. Hosted in grand style by Alexis Roston and Lillian Castillo, the recipients of the top play was “At the Table” by the Broken Nose Theatre and top musical was “High Fidelity” by the Refuge Theatre Project.

Entertainment News: John Cusack at Opening Day of C2E2 in Chicago From March 18-20, 2016

CHICAGO – It’s Opening Day for the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo – better known as C2E2. There are three days planned – Friday, March 18th through Sunday March 20th, 2016 – for celebrities, comic book producers and the entertainment associated with our age of super hero geek culture. The event takes place at the South Building at McCormack Place in Chicago. Chicago’s own John Cusack helps to get things rolling with a panel appearance TODAY (March 18th) at 2pm, and will sign autographs and meet fans over the weekend.
