Newell explores a portion of this culture in his new documentary profile of Chef Jake Bickelhaupt, as he attempts to build the Chicago eatery ’42 Grams.’

CHICAGO – She has lived “One Day at a Time” and has come into a second act that really cooks. Valerie Bertinelli has gone from child star to recipe maven with her new book “Valerie’s Home Cooking,” named after her Food Network TV Show. She came to Chicagoland to promote the book on October 22nd, 2017.

CHICAGO – What better holiday than Thanksgiving to highlight a celebrity chef? Chef Robert Irvine is familiar to fans of the Food Network, through his shows “Dinner: Impossible” and “Restaurant: Impossible.” His brand of tough love has expanded to a new self help series, appropriately titled “The Robert Irvine Show.” Irvine was recently in Chicago appearing on behalf of Comcast at the Studio Xfinity store.

Culinary icon Paula Deen, Nov. 16, 2015.

CHICAGO – Chicagoland was cooking last month as former Food Network star and culinary icon Paula Deen was at the Old Orchard Barnes & Noble in Skokie, Ill., to promote her new book, “Paula Deen Cuts the Fat: 250 Recipes Lightened Up.“ The queen of southern-style cooking has reworked her popular recipes with ingredients with less calories.

CHICAGO – Food Network television star Giada De Laurentiis recently posed for the HollywoodChicago.com lens in Chicago. This exclusive photograph was shot before her two-day Chicago book signing for “Giada’s Kitchen” on Oct. 7 and 8, 2008. This portrait is the only shot she agreed to pose for during this trip.
