LOS ANGELES – Stella Stevens had a prolific and adventurous career, especially considering all the famous co-stars and directors she encountered over her 60 year run. She began near end of the studio system in the late 1950s, and worked through the first decade of the post millennium. Stevens was 84 years old when she passed away February 17th, 2023, in her native Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES – Raquel Welch never let anyone define who she was, despite being touted as a sex symbol in her early career. She defined sexy in films such as “One Million Years B.C.,” “Fantastic Voyage” and the 1970s Three Musketeers series. The movie star and entrepreneur died at age 82 at her home in Los Angeles.

CHICAGO – How about a Pamela-thon for Valentine’s Day? The 1990s sex symbol Pamela Anderson is going through a current revival with two TV works about her life and a major book release. Photographer Joe Arce of HollywoodChicago.com went through his archives and found four Exclusive Portraits of PA from 2010.

CHICAGO – Robert Marvin “Bobby” Hull needs no introduction in the City of Chicago, as his career as a Chicago Blackhawks hockey player was as legendary and influential as Babe Ruth was to baseball. The “Golden Jet,” which was his nickname, and the Jet recently passed away at age 84 on January 30th, 2023.

CHICAGO – In this age of entertainment, it’s easy to forget that less complex comedy series like “Laverne & Shirley” were number one in America in 1977 and ’78. The “Shirley” of the title duo was portrayed by Cindy Williams, who in her early film career was even more legendary. Williams passed away on January 25th, 2023, She was 75 years old.

CHICAGO – The grim reaper spares no one, despite even having a celebrity status. But photographer Joe Arce, who has taken thousands of Exclusive Portraits of famous folks, gives some notables one more memorial image as we say adios to last year. CHICAGO – Jessica Lange’s long career as actor is on the record … from “King Kong” to “American Horror Story.” But her new book “Dérive” focuses on the photo artist in her, and she discussed it at the the 2022 Chicago Humanities Festival (CHF) on November 12th. CHICAGO – Media journalist Kate Couric came to the 58th Chicago International Film Festival (CIFF) as an Executive Producer for the film “No Ordinary Campaign,” the story of Brian Wallach and wife Sandra Abrevaya, who decided to use their political acumen to create change when Brian was diagnosed with ALS (aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

Prime Video’s ‘A League of Their Own’ will premiere in Rockford.

ROCKFORD, ILL. – It’s time for the classic film “A League of Their Own” to go back to their roots … Rockford, Illinois, home of the old timey woman’s baseball team the Rockford Peaches. To celebrate the NEW Prime Video series adaptation of “League,” and the 30th anniversary of the film, Prime Video will be premiering the series in a special Rockford screening on July 2nd, 2022.

CHICAGO – The binge world is abuzz with the anticipation of what actor Bryan Cranston will bring in reprising his Walter White character (‘Breaking Bad), in the prequel/sequel series ‘Better Call Saul.’ In the meantime, he has a branded tequila to promote, and photographer Joe Arce got the Exclusive Portrait.
