Kevin Smith, at Books-a-Million on Clark Street in Downtown Chicago

CHICAGO – Kevin Smith is not a subtle guy. The director/writer/actor and comic book geek supreme has a new book out called “Tough Sh*t: Life Advice from a Fat, Lazy Slob Who Did Good.” In it, he relates how his unlikely empire was built, and how he became the force within it. He was recently in downtown Chicago, promoting the life lessons at Books-a-Million on March 30th.

CHICAGO – Very few filmmakers provoke the same kind of passionate adoration as the sometimes-great Kevin Smith, a man who has such a following that he can sell out large theaters filled with people who merely want to ask him questions for hours. Smith is a charismatic, interesting, clever filmmaker and his best work reflect his gregarious personality.
