CHICAGO - If you ask me the first console game to get giant robots punching each-other right is the N64 Cult Classic “Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon”, which is strange because that game is the most absurd thing I ever played.

CHICAGO – I played the first “Bioshock” about a year after release and managed to avoid all the spoilers. What an experience that was. A deconstruction of game linearity wrapped in a beautiful, decaying, underground once-utopia that brought ideas and philosophy to the table, in addition to a huge arsenal of weapons and special powers - plasmids.

CHICAGO – Last week, we gave you a list of the top ten video games of 2011. With a list that included “Arkham City,” “Dead Space 2,” “Portal 2,” “Skyrim,” and “Uncarted 3” 2011 definitely had some highlights, but, as mentioned in the previous article, 2011 will not go down as one of the greatest years in game history. There were some very fine games, but overall, games seemed to be lacking a bit…at least compared to 2010.
